Southern Colorado Bismuth & Silver Mining & Smelting Company This is a fabulous certificate from the mighty San Juans. A very unique and interesting vignette adorns this companies certificate whose properties were located north of Silverton in Eureka Mining District. Even today, over 120 years later, one can still experience the mystique of a true western mining camp in Silverton and the surrounding camps. |

Elkton Consolidated Mining and Milling Company This certificate is an extremely rare Cripple Creek find! A steel-engraved vignette of the actual Elkton mine taken from an original A. J. Harlan photograph. What makes this certificate so special is that steel engraved certificates were quite UN-common for Cripple Creek. |

This is one of the most attractive of all San Juan certificates with a vignette of the mine and mill works! The Mountain Queen was another great mine in the Eureka Mining District which lay between Silverton and Animas Forks. Some of the best preserved mine buildings in Colorado can be found in Animas Forks and the surrounding mines. |

The Camp Bird Mine, located in the San Juan's just outside of Ouray, was a fabulously rich mine and second in the state in production behind Cripple Creek's Portland Mine. This mine was located by Thomas Walsh who, after making millions from the mine, sold it to a British syndicate in 1902 which this certificate represents. |

Western Lithographic Stone Company
A very unique and important piece of history! This company actually produced the lithograph stones with which the certificates that we all collect were made! The certificate was issued out of Denver, Colorado and states on the certificate, just below the vignette: "This engraving done on stone from company's quarries." A fantastic Colorado certificate. |
