  • Detective Agency billhead dated at Des Moines, Iowa, 1885.
  • Nice billhead from this Iowa detective agency. The company was organized in 1882 and incorporated in 1884. Billhead is in fine condition with normal letter folds.

  • Elevator at C., B. & Q. Depot
  • Billhead dated at Fairfield, Iowa, 1891.
  • Nice billhead referencing their elevator at the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Depot.
  • Very god condition with a rough edge in one spot on right margin (see scan); all paper in tact, no chips.

E. R. Durkee & Co.

  • Importers and Grinders of Spices, Manufacturers of Mustard, Sauces, Extracts, &c.
  • 135, 137, & 139 Water Street, New York
  • Letterhead-sized print advertisement “broadside” beautifully illustrated on both sides, one side in color.
  • Describes Durkee & Co.’s Challenge Baking Soda, Select Flavoring Extracts, Salad Dressing & Meat Sauce, Challenge Sauce, and Celery Salt. “These goods are sold by all dealers in fine groceries.” Illustrations of several of the Durkee product bottles as well as the Durkee “Gauntlet” Trade Mark seal.
  • Page is in VG Condition; heavy folds (folded in fourths), slightly trimmed edge. What appear as stains on the black & white side of the page is actually printing that has bled through from the color side of the page. Overall a very attractive piece of ephemera.
